When
a soul recognises it’s inherent thirst
for knowledge,
higher awareness and service, and, chooses
to walk a Path
with those who seek similar awareness and
understanding;
then great joy and celebration become apparent
- Ronnie Burns
A
healing process must work in conjunction
with thepsychological and counseling objectives
whereby each childs emotional status
will be carefully assessed. It is imperative
that healthy children require pure water,
clean topsoil, fresh air, sunshine and lots
of love and
support to provide stability in their lives.
Music,
singing, dance, creative arts and craft
assit in providing right relationship to
Self and the Earth, thereby decreasing
the intrusion of fear and anxiety. AHCF
is establishing an extensive organic vegetable
garden plan, with wheelchair accessibility,
which will incorporate seed germination,
involvement in maintaining the vegetable
growth process, harvesting produce, and
preparation of food for the table.

canopy.
Our
site offers a natural mountain habitat with
a large peppercorn forest, free flowing
waterfall, endemic wildlife (wallabys,
platapus, echidna, bird life, wombats) mountain
views and snow which create a sanctuary
for peace, harmony, balance and wellbeing.
As
funds become available, plans to develop
extensive outdoor experiential courses and
other activities, will go on the drawingboard.
The challenge of bushwalking, experimental
courses, obstacle courses for the physically
impaired, horse riding and canoeing, will
ensure confidence, team building, and group
involvement. Compassion, understanding and
friendship most definately help to support
children though the trauma of serious illness.
In indigenous cultures,
Nature is seen as alive, awake
and even aware. So a free
spirit, gentle heart concept
may be evoked through a closeness to the
land, craft work, journal writing and discussion
groups. AHCF maintains a commitment to young
people expressing an enthusiastic interest
in our self-sustaining community.
